FAQ's

How do I make a reservation?

For your convenience, we have an online system to create or log in to your client account and request a reservation, or you can call us or stop by the resort. Please note that you will receive an email or phone call after an online reservation request is made. This will serve as your confirmation that Henderson Pet Resort has your reservation in our system.

What vaccines are required?

All pets must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. Proof of current vaccinations must be provided and can be submitted on your client profile, faxed or emailed.  Or simply let us know in advance of the stay which veterinarian and we will request them on your behalf.

Can my pet get sick or catch a disease around other pets?

Your pet can be exposed to contagious diseases regardless of where they are. When following proper vaccination protocols, the risk of contracting a disease is minimal. Henderson Pet Resort has spent extensive efforts to design a facility that has state-of-the-art air quality controls, antimicrobial surfacing and cleaning systems that conform to the best practices in today’s high-end pet resorts. We maintain very strict cleaning and disinfection standards and we do everything we can to prevent disease transmission in our Resort.

What if there is an emergency?

Henderson Pet Resort has a pet care counselor on the premises 24 hours a day, that is trained in pet first aid and pet CPR. If we determine that your pet needs medical attention, we will attempt to contact you or your alternative contact person. We may transport him/her to the predetermined veterinarian of your choice, if possible. If an emergency requires immediate attention we will transport your pet to the nearest available care facility and attempt to contact you.

Will you administer my pet’s medication while they stay at Henderson Pet Resort?

We will administer most medications as directed by your veterinarian. Please bring the medication in the original labeled package. We ask that you complete a medication authorization form upon arrival. Additional fee applies.

What if my dog does not get along with other dogs or unfamiliar people?

We can accommodate most dogs. If your dog does not get along with other dogs, but is fine with unfamiliar people, he/she will still get lots of love and attention by our staff. Pets that are aggressive towards unfamiliar people may not be able to stay with us. Please call and speak to us about your pet for further information.

Will my pet be taken outdoors during their stay at the Resort?

We have both indoor and outdoor play areas, but we are unique in that we brought the outdoors in by installing antimicrobial K9 Grass in all of our large climate-controlled play areas. Our pet guests adjust really easily to our comfortable and fun resort.

What should I bring when my pet is going to stay at the Resort?

Make sure to bring current vaccination records from your veterinarian, or submit them by creating or logging into your client account from the reservations tab. Bring your pet’s food, treats and medication. We will provide luxury beds, cozy bedding, bowls and toys.

Are the pets ever left alone at Henderson Pet Resort?

NO. We are staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

How early/late can I drop off/pick up my pet?

All pets must be checked in by 4 pm, but are welcome to arrive earlier to acclimate and have some fun on their first day!  This really sets the tone and helps pets adjust.  Pets can be picked up anytime during our business hours of 6 am-7 pm, 7 days a week.  The last day fee will be prorated depending upon checkout time and activities.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change sometimes. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible when they do. For non-holiday times we request 2 days notice and for busy holiday times we do require at least 14 days notice of cancellation to avoid loss of your deposit, and to ensure that other pets have an opportunity to enjoy the holidays at Henderson Pet Resort. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I have a tour of the resort?

Absolutely! To ensure each canine and human guests’ safety, please plan your tour in advance of your pet’s reservation between the hours of 10:30 am-11:30 am to avoid arriving when dogs are being escorted to and from activity sessions. During these hours, we look forward to providing you a tour so that you can see for yourself why so many pet parents trust Henderson Pet Resort’s professional and loving care for their pets.

I have more than one pet. Can they stay in the same suite?

Yes, if you want them to! As long as they get along. We do reserve the right to separate family members if they for any reason are not getting along. Sorry, but your dog and cat are not able to share a room.

How much does it cost?

Our fees are very competitive for the quality of our resort, as well as the level of care and service provided. Additionally, all of our reservations are customized based on your dog's personality and your preferences for their stay. Please call us to discuss what we have to offer for your pet.
