Whether it’s basic obedience, puppy dog training or behavior issues, Henderson Pet Resort’s professional trainer will meet with you and your dog for a consultation to determine goals and recommend a training path that’s best for you and your dog.

Day School Play-n-Learn

Day School dog training at Henderson Pet Resort is a unique way to give your dog the ideal environment for learning and socializing. During our day training programs, your dog will check-in by 9:00 am and stay as late as 7:00 pm, with options of attending 2, 3 or 5 days a week. Each package is for 4 weeks and includes customized training sessions with our professional training team who uses proven training methods based on love and positive rewards.  Also included is a full day of care and play sessions in our play yards along with an interactive brain teaser puzzle, plus more!  The best part is that while you’re busy at work, your pup will be learning and playing HPR style, then snuggling with you each evening!

Level 1 Topics, on Leash: Calm/Focus, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Leave-it. Secondary Topic Imprinting: Leash Manners (heel), Auto-Sit, Recall.

Level 2 Topics: Leash Manners, Recall, Place, Touch

Level 3 Topics: Polite Greetings, Distance and Off-Leash Work, Tricks

• 2 Days a Week for 4 Weeks (Tuesday, Thursday)

• 3 Days a Week for 4 Weeks (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

• 5 Days a Week for 4 Weeks (Monday-Friday)

• Check-in each day by 9 am and depart each day between 4 pm-7 pm.

Includes:

• 60 minutes of one-on-one training with our training team per day

• Playtimes (off-leash group or individual) during the day

• Brainteaser puzzle or stuffed Kong each day

• Trainer call at each pick up day to go over progress and homework

• One private lesson scheduled with dog and owner upon training package completion

All dogs are unique and learn at a different pace. Each training topic is taught and designed to build upon previous skills learned. Our goal is to teach all the above topics for each dog in the training program. However, it is important to only progress at your dog’s pace to ensure each training session affords a solid foundation before moving forward to the next step of difficulty; therefore, the frequency of training sessions and homework is an important factor and some dogs pace may require additional lessons at additional fees to reach program goals & owner expectations.  All training packages are non-refundable.

Boarding School Lodge-n-Learn

Boarding School at Henderson Pet Resort gives your dog the ideal environment for learning and socializing. During our Lodge-n-Learn programs your dog will stay with us 24/7 for the duration of your chosen Lodge-n-Learn program. Each program includes our standard suite accommodations, customized training sessions with our professional training team who use proven training methods based on love and positive rewards. Also included are daily play sessions, belly-rubs and tuck-ins, nightly gourmet treat, potty breaks, weekly progress reports and a private training session with owner for each week of the program!

One-Week Lodge-n-Learn Training Program 5 Days, 4 Nights

Two-Week Lodge-n-Learn Training Program 12 Days, 11 Nights

Three-Week Lodge-n-Learn Training Program 19 Days, 18 Nights

Four-Week Lodge-n-Learn Training Program 26 Days, 25 Nights

Private Dog Training Lessons

We’ll work toward your individual goals geared to your dogs’ needs. We'll cover problem solving, sit, down, stay, come, leave it and more… using tools given in class to apply to your dog’s specific concerns and to be used with consistency at home. Private Lessons can be scheduled at Henderson Pet Resort or In-Home, based on location and availability.

Fungility

Fun + Agility = Fungility

Busy lifestyles can limit your dog to few opportunities of meaningful mental and physical activity. This lack of positive engagement can turn into behavioral problems and destructive tendencies. Our Fungility sessions offer enrichment that fulfill dogs needs through challenges, confidence building and skill development while being rewarded for their achievements.

Fungility is a wonderful addition for HPR dogs to participate in extra physical and mental stimulation as well extra fun and play. Whether your dog attends a Fungility session during their daycare/lodging time at HPR, or you and your dog come into the facility to learn & play together, you will notice a positive change from day one.

Puppy Kindergarten

Our unique Puppy Kindergarten program includes weekly lessons of fun, positive experiences and learning at Henderson Pet Resort. Enrollment is flexible, however, the program is designed to be completed by the time the puppy is 4 months of age. The critical socialization period for puppies ends at about 4 months of age. During this time you can shape the puppy’s view of his world at a stage in the puppy’s life when he is receptive to learning. Positive experiences help puppy to learn that new things are fun and he’ll remember the good association throughout his life. Socialization is more than just introducing puppies to other dogs. Certainly that is one aspect of socialization, but a puppy needs to get socialized to everything else in the world too. Henderson Pet Resort has a wide variety of things and experiences that can be shown to puppy and shared with the pet parent.
